Hard to argue with that! I am glad to hear that everything worked out from the family standpoint and the whole adventure went ahead as planned. Certainly if you can also take this kind of beautiful pictures :-) I see the most beautiful birds passing by, but the most striking thing I found was the beautiful bright pink flamingo :-))))) Beautiful robin-spout and more. There was one day, however, when it was EXTREMELY windy and I was a little concerned in a couple of locations about getting blown off the ledge onto the rocks below - a drop I wouldn't have survived!

All those shots, apart from a couple that were taken with my phone, were taken with the Sigma 50-500. It's really not too bad at macro work!

Don't talk to me about teeth! Had to have one of my back teeth taken out yesterday, and am now faced with the prospect of a hefty bill for an implant as I'm told that my ability to chew will now have been compromised. The pied and the white wagtails are a mystery to me, I would not dare to pass a comment. I am surprised the Rock Pipit managed well with out its rudder but presumably it was used to it! Love your macro insect shots. I had the pleasure of trying a macro lens yesterday and I am hooked. Sadly, we have a lot of expenses coming up with car problems and my teeth so I am not sure I will get a lens anytime soon! I do love the markings on Starlings, they really are pretty birds. The eyes on the Grebe are amazing.
Delighted that Georgie joined you on the trip and obviously enjoyed it, but I did have to laugh at her sense of humour.
Take care and have a good week.
