River Trent from 17th to 20th September 2009

A four day trip down the Trent from Sawley to Newark had us passing a Red-crested pochard at very close quarters in the centre of Nottingham! Later, in the early evening we passed a Kingfisher on the bank (at some distance). On our return journey we came across a lone Common Sandpiper which allowed us to get quite close in our boat.
