This was our day for returning home. On the way out to the airport, my wife spotted a Prairie Dog ‘city’, but I missed it (we were on a toll road with a minimum permitted speed of 50 mph, so I could not stop). Thus ended a most enjoyable holiday – spoilt only by the guy on our plane who announced that he had a bomb on board shortly before take off. The result was a four-hour delay whilst he was arrested, we were taken off the plane, baggage (hold and hand) searched thoroughly whilst we stood beside a remote road in the airport.

Eventually we re-boarded the plane and took off, arriving in Minneapolis/St. Paul with only half an hour to spare before our onward flight. We made it OK, but out baggage didn’t.
