I went on one of Dave Scattergood's monthly birdwalks. This one was to the remarkable National Memorial Arboretum, near Burton-upon-Trent. We soon found a good number of Yellow Wagtails in with Pied Wagtails. A Hobby also flew over. We found that they had planted a huge wild flower meadow, and this will need further investigation next year! After the walk, I went to nearby Whitemoor Haye to sit and have my picnic lunch. To my delight, a stoat came lolloping up the road - shame that my photo has soft focus!
