Having promised my wife that we would go to our boat at Sawley to do some work on it, I saw that a Cattle Egret was at Attenborough NR - just 5 miles from our boat. I managed to get my pass signed for a quick visit, and immediately found the bird, although it was very distant. Having taken some 'record shots', and also some shots of a Whitethroat, I had to return to duty !!

Cattle Egret - distant 'record shot'

Whitethroat
Arriving at Sawley Marina, I found that a Swallow had claimed a nearby mooring stanchion as his favourite perch.
