After the Croxall Lakes bird walk in the morning, I had a spell of duty on Osprey watch at Rutland Water in the evening. I decided to have a quick visit to the Egleton side of the reserve to see the new Lagoon IV. What a great place! On the way down to the lagoon, I snapped what I am fairly sure was a Garden Warbler (I'm happy to be put right). At Lagoon IV, the unidentified female Osprey was in residence, with 32(05), her partner, having left to go fishing.

After a short spell on the Egleton side, I went round to Lyndon for my watch. On the way there, I got some images of butterflies and Odonata. There was little Osprey action from Waderscrape hide, but the Water Rails were showing well - even if they were mainly in deep shadow.
