After the fairly evil weather of the previous day, we woke up early to a splendid morning, with the strong low sun giving a warm golden light. Sitting quietly in the boat, the birds came to me - either passing on the water , or (as in case of the Grey Wagtails) on the pontoon beside our boat. Whilst not much terribly exciting was seen this day (although I suspect that I shall never get as close to a Barnacle Goose again), photographically this was a real gem of a day for me. However, I found that my efforts with the Sand Martins were better during the extremely dull weather of the previous day.
